#148 Maple Burl dyed yellow 6″

This Maple Burl Bowl has been dyed to enhance the grain.  The process is to sand the bowl to a fine finish and then cover with an analine dye.  Once partially dry sand with a fine sandpaper until you see the grain pop and then apply a gloss finish.

#147 Pierced 7″ Cherry Bowl

This 7″ Cherry Bowl has been pierced with a high speed carver.  Inserted in the piercing are figures (dragon fly, flowers etc).  The vessel is finished with many coats of a manufactured salad bowl finish. This would look great on a coffee table.

This Cherry Bowl is 10″ in diameter and has 4 Maple leaves carved on its rim.  The leaves have been painted.  The bowl has been finished with many coats of a manufactured salad bowl finish.

This 16″ Maple Salad Bowl has very distinct markings.  One side is natural and other half is spalted.  It is finished with many coats of a manufactured salad bowl finish.  It is quite deep.
